What is
it?
Sports massage is the purposeful manipulation of
the body's soft tissue. Muscles, tendons and
ligaments are manipulated to aid recovery,
athletic development and sports performance
along with injury rehab.
How can it help me?
Four main areas have been identified where
sports massage can be of value to the
individual:-
1. Pre training - Tuning the athlete in for
exercise.
2. Post training - Improving the healing of
tissue to instil
optimum growth and repair.
3. Rehab - To prevent injury and allowing
optimum
performance.
4. Restoration - To help repair chronic and
acute injuries.
